Chronomite SR-40/240 HTR 240-Volt 40-Amp SR Series Instant-Flow Standard Flow Tankless Water Heater

Chronomite was the first to patent a microprocessor technology which allows for a pre-set or controlled output temperature that delivers unlimited hot water without risk of scalding-in two seconds as opposed to the six seconds offered by other tankless water heaters. Chronomite is installed at point of use and is only operational when hot water is requested, thus dramatically reducing hot water delivery time and inefficient use of electricity.

Customers say's :
very good quality water heater
I was somewhat skeptical about tank-less electric but I knew very well tank-less gas heaters from Europe where tank-less technology is used for over 50 years by now. Also, some companies put specs according to their agenda but then in practical use those do not perform. To my surprise I am very pleased with this Chronomite product - all is right on the button and no misleading. Unit is simple, small, very HD and absolutely marvelous. I replaced huge tank heater, run water from the tank to this unit, total cost of adapters was about 30 bucks, all available from local hardware store. I live in Central Florida, but it is winter now, so I get cold water at about 55 to 65 degrees. Unit is heating it very well, on kitchen faucet I get 125 which is 15 degrees more then before, and shower is only slightly less then what it was but only in flow, approximately 95% of flow from standard tank heater yet with water remaining at original 110 max. Consider that in Florida water pipes are embedded in...

I love this heater
When my old gas 40 gallon water heater died I decided to try a point of use heater. Whenever I stayed in a hotel with them in the rooms I marveled at the instant hot water in the bathroom faucets. I looked at the Bosch units at Lowes. I had read some unfavorable reviews of them so I looked around and found the this unit. What impressed me was the 240v 40 amp rating and $167.00 price. Compared to the lowes units at 120v 30 amps and $217.00 cost it was a no brainer to go with the Chronomite.
I put one in the bathromm first to try it out. The line and fittings inside are 1/4"NPT so I was a little concerned about having to change out the large porcelin and brass shower head over the 1915 clawfoot tub I restored. As it turned out there is still sufficient flow with the cold mixed in for a great shower.
Installation was easy the unit being about the size of a paperback book. I Changed out the breaker in my panel from a 30 amp to a 40 amp and ran 3/8 copper line to and from the...

Kicks Ass...
This thing will scald you if you let it. Make sure you have plenty of cold water supply to water it down with. Also have someone remind you to leave the shower after a few hours or you won't have any other life at all.
