This Stiebel Eltron DHC-E 12, is the 4th tankless heater I have used in my home in the past 10 years. It was the easiest to install with braided hose and modest electrical requirements. Best warrenty of the bunch. Very pleased with the performance and capacity to supply two points of use at once. Get this one.

Powerful and effective in a tiny wall mounted unit

Very powerful and effective, in a tiny little wall mounted unit. Generates very warm water easily and almost instantaneously. Once the plumber installed the 220V circuit and hooked this up, it worked like a harm. We first tried the 120V version which wasn't effective for a shower at all, this model is extremely good.

Works great. Cheap Plastic

I purchased this based on other reviews on this site. The engineering is pretty tight. Some of the wires run very close to and even come in contact with the heating chamber. I moved them aside to prevent contact with that heat source.
Also note that the plastic back and cover are very brittle. Since there are only two screw holes to attach this to the wall, I added a couple of extra screws to ensure a stable installation.
Heats the water very well. Please note that I live in Florida, so the ambient temp of water is around 70 degrees. Overall a "good" product, I just don't think the "German" engineering is all others have claimed.

Update: It's been 6 months and this heater is working perfectly. Saves water and electricity.

Update May 31, 2014: Fifteen months and no problems. Very pleased.
