Customers say's :Pleased with EX190TC
Unit has worked great for years, to supply hot water to my small old 700 square foot rental home, for a –bathtub, vanity and kitchen sink. I am moving it higher now, so installed check valves,…all in the process of making room for a compact washer and dryer, which is why I visited this page, thinking I might find other reviews that might be helpful, plus a phone number for Eemax's tech support, who have been very helpful recently and in the past. All tolled, I've been very pleased with the Eemax EX190TC. The only reason for 4 Stars instead of 5, is because it makes a loud click when it turns on, though no renter has complained, plus at times I sense lights in the bathroom flickering slightly, though I suspected from the beginning that the old electrical feed from the utility pole needed upgrading, when I upgraded the breaker panel and service entrance cable, yet the utility company refused my request.., plus once again no renter has complained….
NOT RECOMMENDED
When it works, it works well . However, the elements only last a few days or at most a few weeks. It's a dual element heater, so one element goes first and eventually the second element also goes. Since I purchased this heater a few weeks ago, I already have changed three elements having to pay an electrician to change them every time. I don't recommend this heater to anyone.
Don't waste your time
I have had nothing but inconsistent hot water with this unit. Poor instructions, poor adjustment screws, poor pulsating lights, poor design. I am cutting my losses and switching manufacturers.
