Stiebel Eltron Tempra 12 Plus Electric Tankless Water Heater
Customers say's :Great Little Water Heater
We've experienced a flawless install and operation from our Stiebel Eltron. Unlimited hot water and lower electric bills are the two big positives for this appliance, but I also like that it's about the size of a picture frame hanging on the wall and opened up a lot of space in our utility room when we replaced our old tank water heater.
Only thing to keep in mind is that this is not a drop in replacement for an existing tank water heater. We had to have an electrician come out and wire up a 60 Amp 6 gauge wire from the breaker box to the water heater for a nominal fee (about $200), other than that the plumbing and mounting was super easy, both of which I did myself in about an hour's time (thanks to Gatorbite plumbing fixtures).
We are really enjoying the Stiebel Eltron and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for an electric tankless water heater.

Stiebel Eltron lies about Tempra 12 Plus
This unit is a piece of crap for what it is supposed to do. I researched tankless water heaters and finally decided on this model after reading what a fine company Stiebel Eltron is supposed to be. Their spiel was that this was a whole house unit that would easily service a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. My house is 2 bedroom, 1 bath. After spending 500 plus dollars for the unit, 300 plus dollars for licensed plumber to install it right, and 200 plus dollars for licensed electrician to install correct breaker and wiring, I have a unit that is so noisy when hot water is running in the kitchen or bathroom, it almost drowns out the tv or conversations. After talking with the tech at Stiebel Eltron, he sent me a new unit for the noise. The new one is worse than the old one. It takes 15 to 19 minutes to fill the bath tub and all the time listening to the unit growl in the water heater closet. I would never purchase another product from this company.
