Just installed and started up the eEmax EMT4 water heater. The unit if very attractive and has a front panel temperature control with a heating element indicating light so you can easily adjust the water temperature and visually know when it is heating or when the water in the tank is at temperature.
The unit can sit directly on the floor or be wall mounted. Figure less than sixty pounds full. A floor standing unit came in handy as the wall space we were considering also had the power outlet which interfered with our desired wall location. So a wall mount ended up not being practical for us. Also consider top mounted inlet and outlet as well as TP valve location. This makes for high connections so we added elbows to get to where we were going with the piping. The TP valve did not need an elbow since it has a side discharge. Top connections are nice if you every disconnect the piping, water does not flow out of the tank.

4 Gallon Review
Functions well for a 120 volt unit. Heats up fairly quickly for low to moderate use in a utility sink. I have 55 degree well water and with the temperature set at 120 I get about 3 gallons out before it goes cold. But it's just what I need for limited use. The tank is rather large in size so if you are going to place it under a sink think twice and measure twice. The water connections on top add about 3" to it's height. The pressure safety valve that came with the unit leaked at the connect joint so I have to triple wrap teflon tape on the threads, then it was ok. Note: there is no drain for the tank. I called Eemac customer service & they told me for cold regions of the country (that go below freezing) you have to remove the plumbing lines and remove the tank (if mounted on the wall) and invert the tank to drain it. Although it appears to be a small tank, when it is filled with water it's really heavy! Overall, I'm pleased.

as represented. good instructions. mounted under kitchen sink to provide hot water for hand washing dishes (no dish washer). 4 gallons is adequate. only problem (slight): male thread on supplied safety valve was too long or female thread on tank was too deep causing leak on start up. changed from tfe dope to tfe tape and engaged to the last thread with considerable effort - no leaks. NOTE: i don't know where "dissapointed" came from. amazon purchase.
